Public Statement of Facebook Deactivation.

To all my friends, acquaintances, and people to whom I am connected by the most remote of social connections,

I have deactivated my Facebook account. I did not “un-Friend” you. I simply decided that staying afloat of Facebook’s nearly limitless socio-virtual constructs was not the way I intended to spend that rogue unscheduled hour of my day.

My decision is not intended as a disavowal of the usefulness or enjoyability of Facebook. I don’t doubt that I will reactivate in the future. For now, you can use the antiquated email system if you need to get ahold of me or notify me of an event. Thank you for accommodating my hermetic nature.
